The Surf Dive ‘n Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles have wrapped up after an amazing week and great waves at Cylinder Beach on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland. Tropical Cyclone Tuni whipped in on Friday with some of the best barrels the kids could have asked for, for the semi's and finals.

The groms from 6 states made their way across the country to surf their way to the top for a chance to be the 2015 Australian Junior Champion. Each of the winners took advantage of the perfect conditions, more than a couple were lucky enough to get double tube rides and pulled off some seriously professional manoeuvres in quick sections.

Kai Warner absolutely dominated the longest tube ride of the day to secure a 9.75 and win the boys under 18 division against a tough field of boys who had been over performing all week. Kyuss King wasn't going home without a perfect score proving that his name will continue to headline events for years to come, after one of the best waves of the day rolled in and he casually took a double barrel ride and slide a slick turn into sign it off and win the under 16s. Xavier Huxtable from Victoria rounded up his high scoring week with the win in the under 14 boys. Xavier was one of the most polished and consistent surfers of the week and was turning heads with his surfing.

In the girls 18s it was a Queensland vs Western Australia battle. Sophie McCulloch of Queensland used her rails in deep turns to take top podium position. Macy Callaghan (NSW) has been on fire in the last 18 months going from win to win and strength to strength on the junior circuit. Her fast surfing and strong turns kept her in front of the field of the 16s girls, while in the 14s it was super grom Zahli Kelly who stole the show to take home her own junior title.

Aside from Aussie title glory, the 2015 Surf Dive N Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles determine the selection of all positions on the Australian Junior Surf Team for the 2016 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship in the Azores islands of Portugal. The competition will be held at Praia do Monte Verde, Ribeira Grande, São Miguel Island from September 17-24.
