World Surf League 2017 Schedule Announced

As the Hawaiian leg of the World Surf League Championship Tour descends over coming weeks, it's time to see what locations will be served up for the 2017 tour. After much controversy, it looks like Rio remains locked in.

2017 World Surf League (WSL) Men’s Championship Tour:

  1. Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast - March 14 - 25, 2017 
  2. Drug Aware Margaret River Pro - March 29 - April 9, 2017 
  3. Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach - April 12 - 24, 2017 
  4. Rio Pro - May 9 - 20, 2017 
  5. Fiji Pro - June 4 - 16, 2017 
  6. Corona Open J-Bay - July 12 - 23, 2017 
  7. Billabong Pro Teahupo’o - August 11 - 22, 2017 
  8. Hurley Pro at Trestles - September 6 - 17, 2017 
  9. Quiksilver Pro France - October 3 - 14, 2017 
  10. Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal - October 17 - 28, 2017 
  11. Billabong Pipe Masters - December 8 - 20, 2017

The 2016 WSL Men’s Championship Tour will finish with the Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons from December 8 - 20, 2016.

In the women's arena, it looks like a stable roster will remain in place. The WSL Women’s Commissioner, Jessi Miley-Dyer said "We remain dedicated to putting the world’s best female surfers on the best waves possible in 2017."

  2. Drug Aware Margaret River Pro - March 29 - April 9, 2017 
  3. Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach - April 12 - 24, 2017 
  4. Rio Women’s Pro - May 9 - 20, 2017 
  5. Fiji Women’s Pro - May 28 - June 2, 2017 
  6. Vans US Open of Surfing - July 31 - August 6, 2017 
  7. Swatch Trestles Women’s Pro - September 6 - 17, 2017 
  8. Cascais Women’s Pro - September 21 - October 1, 2017 
  9. Roxy Pro France - October 3 - 14, 2017 
  10. Maui Women’s Pro - November 25 - December 6, 2017

The 2016 WSL Women’s Championship Tour is culminating next week at Honolua Bay with the Maui Women’s Pro from November 23 to December 5, 2016.
