65-year-old surfer Col Rowland is the latest NSW shark attack victim this morning. The attack occurred at the Bulls Paddock, south of Forster on the mid-north coast at 9.20am. 

The man has suffered lacerations to his arm and foot before making his way to shore where he was treated by paramedics and airlifted to Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition. His board was severely damaged; snapped in half and has large teeth marks and indentations.

Sharks are regularly seen in the area but there hasn’t been an attack at Bulls Paddock before. The last attack in the area was on a surfer in 2009. It was non-fatal and at Sandbar, 25km south of today's attack.

Surf Life Saving NSW and the Police have advised that Seven Mile Beach will be closed until further notice.
