THREE CROWNS MEDIA GROUP PARTNERS WITH SURFING’S STATE BODIES TO AMPLIFY EVENTS SUPPORT OLYMPIC & WORLD CHAMPIONS

Three Crowns Media Group (3CMG) has today announced partnerships with the peak surfing bodies in Australia. The partnerships are a positive opportunity for both 3CMG and each state surfing body, each working in conjunction to energise the Olympic sport among grass roots, support events and broaden the audience reach.

3CMG includes Coastalwatch and Surfing World Magazine within its portfolio of action sports platforms. Coastalwatch hosts more than 100 beach-front surf cameras around Australia that provide not only, live, HD viewing for surfers and ocean users and also monitor coastal conditions, marine activity and provides additional support for state Surf Life Saving services.

Coastalwatch receives over 3.5 million page views monthly and has a highly engaged coastal audience, making it the perfect place for the state bodies to increase, promote and captivate their biggest potential viewership.

3CMG will provide strong new national media footprint for the state surfing bodies that will support their events, activations and partners annually.

Together 3CMG and the State surfing bodies will provide and implement a new level of exposure for the talented and upcoming kids, our potential Olympic champions of the sport as well as supporting youth and Indigenous programs for the States.

3CMG General Manager Doug Lees said “We’re thrilled that we are able to help bring grassroots state surfing into the homes and devices of more people in Australia.”

“There’s no better time to be part of the surfing community as it becomes more professional and inclusive and we’re stoked that we can provide any additional reach or support for the state bodies.”

Surfing Queensland has produced some of the world’s finest surfing champions including; the first World Champion Phyllis O’Donnell, 3 x World Champion Mick Fanning, 6 x World Champion Stephanie Gilmore and Joel Parkinson. Surfing Queensland CEO Adam Yates has said of his state’s partnership -

“Surfing Queensland celebrates our partnership with 3CMG Group, we recognise the strong presence it will give across both print and digital platforms as well as offering further value to our current & future partners. We are excited about working with the team at 3CMG to achieve effective creative content.”

Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden is looking forward to seeing the national partnership delivered through the state branches. "Surfing NSW, our fellow state bodies and 3CMG are all companies that share the common goal in wanting the best for the sport of surfing," said Madden. "We can't wait to join them in developing a lot of new ideas, concepts and strengthen the sport as a whole."

Surfing Western Australia’s Mark Lane; “Having the support of a media savvy outfit like 3CMG is sensational. This complimentary alignment is critical for the total development of the sport to ensure we are not only recognising champions, but also those partners who support grassroots events and programs along the pathway.”

Adam Robertson, Surfing Victoria CEO said "Surfing Victoria are stoked to be in partnership with 3CMG. The opportunities for events, content and Victorian surfers through 3CMG's channels is really exciting. We are looking forward to working with the team at 3CMG over the coming summer."

The partnerships with each State have been initiated ahead of what promises to be a huge summer season across Australia’s surf beaches.
