Wave of the Week

Surfer: Mick Fanning
Film: Craig Halstead
Location: Kirra

So the season opening Quiksilver Pro starts in just over a week on the Gold Coast, presumably at Snapper, but just down the street Kirra was doing this yesterday as some kind of curtain raiser. And who else is going to get the wave of the day when our most famous pointbreak turns on? It's Kirra's Surfriders' and West Sydey's own three time World Champ, Mick Fanning, that's who! Flying out behind the spit giving thanks before backdooring another section! Praise be to Kirra.
