Sydney regional surf report, 5.22am Thursday, 21st January: A light WNW breeze is doing it's best to groom a wonky long-period southerly groundswell, which is making for some dynamic conditions. While coming in under forecast expectations, the swell is still delivering some good waves with a fair bit of water moving on those bigger sets. Exposed breaks have some bomb sets, while wrapping at pretty accessible head-high plus levels along less exposed stretches. Buoy readings of 2.9 metres at 14 seconds interval, there might even be a few novelty spots worth a look. Coming up to a 9.17am Low Rest of the Day Outlook: Solid South groundswell should continue to clean up during the early morning, opening up more surf options along the way. With Variable NE breezes forecast until it picks up this afternoon, you could wait out the low tide and suss out some spots then. Swell will continue to produce fairly clean and infrequent, but powerful sets throughout the day. Low tide is at 9.17am and it fills in to a 3.04pm High. Have a great Thursday!
