Updated 9.30am: SSE windswell is up to a junky 2 to 3ft at the most south facing beaches this morning, but it was looking pretty slow in the upper range when I checked it - perhaps owing to the dead-low tide. The SSE swell is still combining with an underlying E swell around 2ft along open beaches so there should be some fun little waves to be had as winds turn SSE to ESE and ease in strength during the day.

Gato Heroi stands outside the mainstream surf scene with boards that are unique in design and function.
I started surfing in 1980, and started shaping boards in 1989.
For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
