Sunshine Coast Regional Dawn Patrol Report (Monday 1st March 5:43am) As we say goodbye to Summer and hello to Autumn a continuation of small background Easterly swell being more favourable along the open beaches is producing small waves averaging around the stomach high range, with the odd larger set wave coupled with the mornings incoming tide. Surf conditions are looking good all around the regions beaches, with light West winds currently in play, making for fair wave quality. There is not a lot of energy in the waves, with high volume boards your goto equipment to get some added value out of your surf session. Good options are the Northern Beaches from Marcoola north to Sunshine, and along the Kawana stretch, the central beaches of Twin Waters and Maroochydore having just enough to get you going. We are almost at the halfway mark of the high tide, so those outerbanks are filling in fast, with the earlier small surf vanishing later on. (High Tide Maroochydore 9:23am @2m)
Rest of the day outlook: Don't expect to much throughout the day, with the lingering Easterly swell continuing to be set on the small wave dial, Light winds from the E-NE will make for a little onshore dribble with mostly fair surf conditions, the open beaches will be your best options for wave size. (Low Tide Maroochydore 3:41pm @0.3m) A pinch and a punch, for the first day of the month. Enjoy your day in the waves. Spinksy
