Sunshine Coast Regional Morning Report (Saturday 16th January 6:01am) A localised mix of ENE swell has lower levels of wave height across the regions beaches this morning, with the open beach locations attracting more of the swell. Currently light winds from the WNW are making for fair to good surf conditions earlier on with the Northern beaches of Marcoola to Sunshine and along the Kawana stretch your best options for more size. Expect wave height along the more exposed beaches generally in the thigh to stomach range on the sets with it being smaller everywhere else due to the low tide conditions, with some extra push as the tide continues to move back in. Definitely make the most of the earlier morning surf, as the high tide will gobble up the smaller swell, and best with a higher volume board. High Tide (Maroochydore) 10:24am @1.9m
Rest Of The Day Outlook: Surf conditions will deteriorate through the later part of the morning as NE winds start to develop, making for wind affected wave quality and conditions along the exposed open beach locations. Wave height generally reamaining the same in the waist to stomach high, with it decreasing through the afternoon coupled with the outgoing tide, the northern corners offering slightly sheltered surf conditions. Low Tide (Maroochydore) 4:59pm @0.4m
