Sunshine Coast Regional Morning Report ( Sunday 24th January 6:11am) A couple of swells in play, with an ENE swell being more dominant over the underlying SSE swell. Surf conditions are fair depending on location and exposure to the light SSE winds currently in play. Average wave height is in the waist to shoulder high on the more exposed open beaches, with smaller waves in the southern corners and bays. Wave quality is fair, being uneven and a little wind affected, and expect fuller slower waves still buried under the early morning high tide (Maroochydore 5:21am).
Rest of the Day Outlook: Not a real lot of change expected across the regions beaches, with light Easterly winds developing through the morning which will add to more lumpy surf conditions through the day. Expect wave height to be a little smaller around the low tide mark, so it would be worth a sniff to find a good bank on either sides of the tide, with the open beaches being more consistent. There is scope for a buildng trend of Easterly Tradewind swell through the next week. (Tides for Maroochydore - Low Tide 11:40am High Tide 4:56pm)
