Sunshine Coast Regional Morning Report (Thursday 21st January 6:14am ) A combo mix of S-SE swells has built up some overnight with the the exposed open beaches attracting more of it. Generally wave height on those locations is in the waist to head high range being subject to South Easterly winds making for poor wave quality, and being more favorable as you head closer to the north facing points, having smaller cleaner waves on offer. An outgoing tide, with Low Tide (Maroochydore) 7:58am will see smaller waves out at The Bluff and corner, with the open beaches having more uneven lumpy bumpy waves. The only best options are those southern protected corners, otherwise if you want the larger waves, hit the open wind affcected beach locations.
Rest Of The Day Outlook: Surf conditions will deteriorate even more along the Northern Open beaches and the Kawana stretch as the SE winds start to freshen through the day at 15-20 knots. Best options are Coolum and The bays, The Bluff and Corner, Point Cartwright, Inside Moffats, Dicky Beach. A small clean wave up at Ti-Tree. As that tide moves back in through the morning expect the swell and wave height to pick up a little more. High Tide (Maroochydore) 1:45pm
