  • Today's rating - Pumping

The leading edge of a large, long-period WSW groundswell fills in today, building steeply during the afternoon. Expect slow 3 to 5ft sets on the reefs at first light, picking up to 4 to 6ft during the arvo, but it looks like the peak of it will arrive overnight through Thursday morning. Conditions are looking great under NW winds of 20 to 30 knots, possibly freshening a bit during the afternoon.

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
