    Summary
A building trend in ENE swell quickly emerged at the start of the week. This swell energy will hold up surf Tuesday before easing. This NE swell is the result of a broad fetch strengthening over the western Tasman Sea; generated between a deepening trough over the NSW interior and a high pressure ridge occupying the Tasman Sea. Expect continued 3 to 4ft plus sets to show into exposed beaches Tuesday under easing morning winds, before surf drops into Wednesday.

High pressure system the eastern Tasman Sea is projected to interact with a larger frontal system moving through central and eastern Australian Thursday. This look like invigorating strong NNE winds; speculatively culminating into a substantial pulse of short period NE swell building through Thursday and peaking overnight before dropping through Friday. The strong northerly bias in wind and swell direction will create varied wave heights and conditions. Open and exposed areas will see a rise of sideshore 3 to 4ft+ drifty swell; however, expect the shadowed swell to wrap at much smaller and weaker strength along south facing and protected breaks.
