    Summary
A more typical spring pattern dominates the outlook to produce an extended run of marginal conditions across southern Queensland coasts. As the current easterly swell continues to fade away we see an emerging south-swell regime taking its place from Wednesday onwards. This will favour far northern NSW coasts for still fun-sized small-wave options across the region, with good 3ft conditions shaping up for Thursday and Friday, with scope for a renewed push in size this weekend.

The broader synoptic pattern features a weak cold front moving across the region on Monday, leading in a large high pressure system migrating across South Australia and then over the southeast of the continent from Tuesday onwards. At the same time we have a moderately active Southern Ocean storm-track in effect over our mid-long-range south swell window.
