  • Swell analysis

    Summary
A breezy mix of SW winds and SW swell will dominate conditions this week before potentially backing off into the weekend.

A significant storm system is developing below West Australia today that has a broad SSW fetch extending out of the southwest Indian Ocean. This system is forecasted to undertake a slow eastward movement under the bight over the next 24hrs, where it will be replaced by a large high pressure system midweek. The interaction between the exiting low and the entering high will bring about a gusty and breezy SW wind to the region Tuesday and Wednesday. Conditions will struggle with the onshore movement of SW windswell as well as the larger SW groundswell off this system.
