The stranded bulk carrier Pasha Bulker has been moved significantly overnight though it is still stranded. During the operation black oil was leaked into the ocean but current reports suggest that this is minimal and has been contained.

Tonight another attempt will be made to refloat the bulk carrier on the peak of the 1.9 metre high tide.

Two days ago the salvage operation began in earnest and spectators could clearly see the bow of the giant ship ship in the surf. Unfortunately after two of the lines broke from their attached tugs the operation was stalled.

Today the significantly altered position of the carrier can be clearly seen as its bow is almost facing open water.
