WA State Open Team Due To Return Home After Successful Campaign

WA State Open Surf Team
The Western Australian State Open Team are due to return shortly from the East Coast after competitng at the Australian Surf Masters. The team did very well in the event held in the Tunncury / Forster stretch of the Mid North of NSW.
With only a team of nine competitors making the trip East, the team managed third in the teams event & two individuals reached finals. Worthy mentions must go out to Frank Hayter (Margaret River) who walked away as runner-up in the Over 50 Masters division & an on fire Leah Wright who secured fourth place in the Open Womens in her first ever National event. Leah will also represent the WA junior team later in the year.
