COASTALWATCH | LISTS

Three weeks in a row of staying at home, staying safe and isolating ourselves from other people – it's an act of compassion solidarity towards the rest of our community. The lot of us should be commended for that. And it's not all that easy, so to help we're once again pulling out a bunch of things to check out and help keep the stoke alive. Pumping tubes, classic videos, epic fails, goofy podcasts, and classic reading from Coastalwatch's archives. Stay home, stay safe, and do your best to stay stoked. We're all in this together. – CW

Something To Listen To

Ain't That Swell's Incredible Live Episode With Kelly and Occy

Abig old language and content warning – but goodness this is good. Ain't That Swell took their podcast on the road last Easter for a sell-out show at the Torquay Bowls club with Kelly Slater and Mark Occhilupo. It was a special show, Kelly Slater was on fire and in a mood to talk story with an openness I'm not sure we've ever seen with the great man.

Epic Surf Movie

Lost Atlas – Watch Kai Neville's 2011 Masterpiece

The follow up to his era-setting film Modern Collective, Kai Neville's Lost Atlas is argued by some to be his finest work. Featuring mid 20s Dane Reynolds and Dion Agius, early 20s Craig Anderson and Chippa Wilson, and still a teen John John Florence and Kolohe Andino (amongst so many more), it massively holds up!

Master Surf Gaming

True Surf – Surfing Controls

The official mobile game of the WSL is a pretty damn good way to kill an hour or ten. If you want to get onto it you can download it for your iPhone here, or for your Android here. For this week, the vid below hits us with the basics on how to surf in the game when you're just getting started.
