South Australia’s best junior stand up surfers take to the water this weekend for the third and final round of the Quiksilver Junior State Titles Series for 2008.

The forecast is for medium swell and offshore winds which will hopefully provide surfers with the perfect finale to another hard fought out series.

In the boy’s first place will come down to the wire, with series favoured Khai Adams not competing as he joins Team Australia in France for the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Titles, leaving first place up for grabs. Surfers such as Alex Rix and Max Longhurst will look to use Adam’s absence to gain valuable surfer of the year ratings points.

Brinkley Davies at fourteen years of age has been the inform surfer for 2008, notching up back to back victories in both the Under 16 and Under 18 girls divisions. With Davies impressive results from the first two rounds she will be hoping to clean sweep the series come this weekend.

Round One of the Quiksilver Junior State Titles Series was held in 2-3 feet waves at Middleton Bay in March, Round Two held in April then moved across to the Innes National Park on the Yorke Peninsula and was held in solid 3-6 feet conditions, Round Three will concludes the series this weekend and will be held in the best surfing conditions available on the Fleurieu Peninsula so stay tuned to see it all unfold.

The Quiksilver Junior State Titles Series is made possible with many thanks to Quiksilver, Roxy, Nippy’s, The Office of Recreation and Sport, Surfing South Australia, The Surfing South Australia Executive Committee, Voluntary Group and Industry Partners.
