Aloha from a quiet North Shore.

If you wanted an uncrowded surf then this morning was the time. Beautiful clean conditions, 5’-6’ out of the west and by North Shore standards an empty line up. Of course this could change as the crew shake off their post Pipe hangovers and check the surf.

The Billabong houses along the beachfront were rocking yesterday afternoon and did well into the night. The Goons of Doom, set up in the yard of the Volcom house just a few meters away, and already had the volume turned up loud before the Pipe presso was over.

The swell forecast is still looking good. There is another bump in the swell due later this week. We might be in for some strong trade winds and some dud weather with this swell though.

Lots of crew are leaving for their homes around the world. One very large Aussie pack is heading to Vegas to celebrate Deano’s pending marriage, so it sounds like the post Triple Crown, World Title and Pipe Masters celebrations are not winding down anytime soon.
