Major Swell Event To Unfold This Week

As indicated in the Bali-Indo Surf Forecast yesterday, there's a pretty phenomenal swell event about to unfold in the Indian Ocean and it will affect Indonesia, Western Australia and Victoria with swells up over 10 feet.

Swell Analysis

SWELL ORIGIN:
Deep low pressure system developing below South Africa and intensifying below the Kerguelen Islands this weekend, generating core winds of 40 to 60 knots.

PEAK SWELL:
20ft @ 18 – 20 seconds across the Margaret River region on Wednesday 14 June.

BEST DAYS:
WA: Peak in SW groundswell across the Margaret River region on Wednesday may coincide with light SE winds, making for epic conditions at select big-wave breaks all day.

Indo: Peaking in Bali late Thursday 15 through early Friday 16 at a heavy 8 to 12ft plus across deepwater breaks, while generating large powerful surf ranging anywhere from 4 to 10ft throughout the archipelago.

Victoria: Thursday 14 and Friday 15 June, with potential for 4 to 8ft sets across the Surf Coast under light NW winds.
