It's been below average in Hawaii for the last few days. Head-high, clean, glassy, warm... hardly worth getting out of bed for really. Bede Durbidge, making the most of a bad situation at Rocky Point. Photo: Bill Morris.

With the swell missing-in-action, the North Shore’s big-wave surfers and tube-riders took a backseat to the new guard of aerial specialists. For Taj Burrow - a man as comfortable above the lip as he is behind it – it was just another day at the office at Off The Wall. Photo: Morris.

The forecast for today is a swell in the 8'-10' range. It might build during the day but right now it's grey, overcast, windy with light rain and blown out surf in the 3' range. What happened to that 30' day? We didn't see it.
