Rip Curl GromSearch Series Kicks-Off In Cronulla Presented By Telstra and Five:Am

The 2012 instalment of the Rip Curl GromSearch series is set to paddle out for the first heat at Cronulla tomorrow, Saturday September 29, 2012.

Over 150 of the Country’s best juniors have descended on “The Shire” to test themselves against in the 12s, 14s and 16-year-old divisions at one of Australia’s premier surfing locations.

Proceedings will kick-off with the premier 16 and under boys’ division hitting the water from approximately 8am at the best waves around the Cronulla beaches. Top seed Kai Hing (Wurtulla, Qld) is in that heat and will be followed by other leading contenders including Kalani Ball (Stanwell Park, NSW), Jacob Willcox (Margaret River, WA) and Jackson Baker (Merewether, NSW).

The Rip Curl GromSearch series is presented by Telstra, with five:am Organic Yoghurt. Event partners Penny Skateboards, Polaroid cameras and DHD surfboards provide support and ASL magazine is the online media partner.
