COASTALWATCH | VISIT NSW

If you're sitting in the office, kinda doing work, kinda looking for anything else at all to distract your attentions and time during this first week back to work, you could do a lot worse than tuning into the WSL Jeep World Junior Titles going down right now, gently rocked back and forth like a sleepy dog in a hammock by the Smooth FM tones of Luke Egan calling the action.

At Bombo Beach Kiama on the NSW South Coast, the best young men and women are vying for junior surfing's most prestigious trophy, won in the past by the World Champs like Gabriel Medina, Joel Parkinson, Adriano De Souza and more.

The event is still in the earlier stages, running Rounds 1 and 2 of the men and and Round 1 of the ladies over the weekend. Australians still alive in the comp to keep an eye out for are Sandon Whitaker, MIkey McDonagh and Liam O'Brien in the fellas and of course the defending World Junior Champ Macy Callaghan as well as Alyssa Lock, Sophia Fulton and Zahli Kelly in the girls.

The Junior Champs will be crowned by this Friday January 12.

You can watch the live broadcast on the WSL internet website portal.
