Boost Mobile Signs Surfing Superstar Laura Enever To Their Team

Rising Australian surf star, 2010 ASP World Junior Champion and current #2 on the ASP Women’s World rankings, Laura Enever, has been signed to the Boost Mobile Team.

Joining the team which already sponsors the likes of Sally Fitzgibbons and Owen Wright, Enever’s signing comes on the back of a win at the Billabong Azores Islands Women’s’ Pro at Sao Miguel. The Azores win was Enever’s maiden ASP Women’s Star-Series victory and looks set to get her a spot on the Women’s ASP World Tour for 2011.

Anthony “Tory” Torr, GM - Boost Mobile, Business Development says “Boost has handpicked Laura to join our surf team, at the age of 18 Laura is already sitting at #2 in her first year on the women’s WQS Tour and with her amazing talent and fearless attitude to her sport we have no doubt we will be posting many a win to her site in the future”.

"I would really love to thank Boost Mobile for adding me to their amazing team! I’m really excited to work with the Boost crew, promote Boost Mobile, have a good time and do some great things together in the future!" said Laura.

Born and raised in North Narrabeen, Australia, Laura is poised to explode onto the professional surfing scene. At the 2008 ISA U/18 Junior Championship in Seignosse, France, Laura defeated a field of 84 of the world's best juniors to claim her first world title.

Following an inspired performance at the Reef Hawaiian Pro, Laura was given the Vans Triple Crown 'Rookie of the Year' honours. The winner's podium is a familiar place for Laura and is likely to remain so as she makes her way onto the World Championship Tour.

Enever is also sponsored by Nike 6.0, Roxy, Chilli Surf Boards, Pull-In Underwear, FCS and Gorilla Grip.
