Emery Win 2011 FCS Manufacturers Cup

Emery Surfboards have been crowned Australia’s champion manufacturing team for the second year in a row after winning the FCS Manufacturers Cup final at Avalon Beach in Sydney last weekend.

In sweltering temperatures Emery's star studded team consisting of James Woods, Adam Melling, Stuart Kennedy, and Al Emery accumulated a total heat score of 68.48 to defeat Chilli Surfboards (56.24), Warner Surfboards (45.34), and Island Surfboards (35.41).

Former ASP World Tour surfer and FCS Brand Ambassador Richie Lovett commented on the outstanding team "It was great to see Emery win another title. On paper the team is strong, and in the water they were even stronger. These guys have made it quite clear they have the best surf team in the manufacturing sector, congratulations".

Richie further commented, "On behalf of FCS I'd like to personally thank all the manufacturing teams who competed in the event. Our intention has always been to provide a platform where the guys who make the boards and the pros who ride the boards, can get together, compete, and have fun".

The FCS Manufacturers Cup is proudly supported by Jim Beam, Tracks, Headhunter and Sanyo.
