Rod Owen is one of those special people whose surname could also be their given name. The only thing better than that is when someone's name finishes with a verb. Like, "Rod Went". Where’d he go? No idea! But more special than Rod Owen’s name is his gift for taking photos of the ocean. The Merewether turned Maroubra-based photographer is one of the leading in the surfing world, particularly when it comes to frames of empty ocean, be that a unique wedge or an original angle – simply world class. The following is a selected feature gallery of elevated stoke.

You can see more world class photos of ocean and landscape on Rod Owen's site where custom prints can be purchased and thrown on the walls of your homes. Do yourself a favour and following him on Instagram for regular silent moments of insta-reverie as well.
