Russell Bierke is one of Australia's rising, leading slab surfers. You might recall that he nearly died surfing big waves somewhere on the Victorian coast almost to the day one year ago. Russ is all good now, and here he is recently showing exactly how to take on difficult backhand waves with aplomb for our Wave of the Week.
