What a year it has been for Kirra in 2013 –  Ridiculous plans for a cruise ship terminal, the stop and start of Gold Coast City Council's restoration and re-extension of the famous groyne, the epic finals of the Quiksilver Pro held there for the first time in years and the pumping following day showing us the best Kirra in a decade… 2013 was a big year for the royal wave, so here is a compilation of the best surfing done there within its 12 months.

Featuring:
Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater, Josh Kerr, Asher Pacey, Dean Morrison, Jay Phillips, Shaun Harrington, Nick Vasicek, Samba Mann, Brent Dorrington, Andre Teixeira, Dave Canham captured by our man on the spot, the ever-reliable and ultimate frother Craig Halstead. Legend!
