5. Rainbow Bay - March 6, 2013

During one of the lay-days at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast this year, surfing's most elite took to the sweet bank and super fun waves that had formed at Rainbow Bay. As theis video shows, there is definitely contestable surf and that, combined with a waining swell had the most critical of internet critics unleashing on contest director Jake Paterson. However, Paterson would have the last laugh  when the finals of the event were moved to Kirra on the last day of the waiting period, and made for the most memorable Quikky Pro Final for a decade.

Surfers: Mick Fanning, John John Florence, Adriano De Souza, Kolohe Andino, Nat Young, Josh Kerr, Filipe Torledo, Coco Ho, Dane Reynolds, Brent Dorrington, Craig Anderson and more...
