Ten years ago, to the week, the Superbank was pumping and Parko, Durbo and they boys were ten years younger. It was August 21-26 2007. What were you doing that week, do you remember?

Ben Macartney's forecast read: The full fury of a powerful SE pressure gradient developing within point blank range of the Queensland coast will do some damage over the coming days, generating heavy ESE storm swell and SSE winds strong enough to render conditions unrideable at all but the most sheltered points.

Tuesday 21 August 2007:
SWELL: ESE 4 – 6ft exposed locations early rapidly increasing to 8ft+, 3 – 5ft points, increasing to 5 – 6ft+.
WIND: SSE 35 – 40 knots.

Wednesday 22 August 2007:
SWELL: ESE 8 – 10ft open beaches, 4 – 6ft points, easing in the afternoon.
WIND: SSE 30 – 35 knots easing to SE 25 – 30 knots.

Thursday 23 August 2007:
SWELL: ESE 6 – 8ft open beaches, 3 – 5ft points.
WIND: SE 20 – 30 knots.

Friday 24 August 2007:
SWELL: ESE 8 – 10ft open beaches, 4 – 6ft points.
WIND: SE 20 – 25 knots.

Saturday 25 August 2007:
SWELL: E 6 – 8ft easing to 5 – 6ft open beaches, 3 – 5ft points easing to 3 – 4ft.
WIND: SE 15 – 20 knots.
